Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday 20th February when Steve Mees will talk about compost.  Venue, as usual, is St Mary's at Euxton with a 7.30 p.m. start

Walton Flats Nursery will be hosting the 2024 Preston Potato day on Sunday 18th February.  from 10am until 2pm.

There will be 90 different varieties of seed potato on sale in 1kg nets. These will include heritage and organic varieties and of course all your old favourites as well as something different. Onion sets, shallots, garlic, fruit plants and fruit trees and an extensive range of vegetable seeds will also be on sale and an opportunity to purchase summer flowering bulbs including the ever popular Dahlias and Gladioli.

To raise funds for Rosemere Cancer Foundation and Motivation Romania there is a café providing hot drinks and homemade cakes.

Our 2024 AGM got under way with a welcome from President Glyn Gregory to all the members who had braved the snowy conditions to attend on Tuesday 17th January at St Mary's Church Hall, Euxton.  He handed over to Chairperson, Barbara Joyce who gave 

a resume of the year's events and thanked the President, Vice President and Committee for their hard work over the 12 months.  She announced her retirement from the Committee saying it had been an honour and a privilege to have served the Society over the last few years.
