Our next meeting is the Gardeners' Question Time on 16th August when a distinguished panel of experts will answer all your gardening questions.  The panel is chaired by our President, Glyn Gregory and will include John Prior, Mo Sawyer & Chairman Barbara Joyce

After a break of two years our meetings got under way again on 15th February with the AGM at our new venue, St Mary's Church Hall, Euxton.  A well attended meeting re-elected Glyn Gregory as President, Barbara Joyce as Chairman and David Brown as Vice Chairman for the coming year before dealing with the formal financial and other matters including election of Officers and Committee Members to be found on the "About Us" page.

At the end of the formal business the President spoke about the award of the RHS Banksian Medals, traditionally given to the best exhibitors at our annual Flower Show.  With no show for the last two years the RHS suggested the medals be awarded to members who have shown particular merit in serving our horticultural community.

The Committee decided the medals should go to Iris Smith for her work with the Chorley in Bloom group which has secured gold medal awards for the last 3 years,....

and David Brown for his work with our Society and his role as Show Manager for many years
